CiiL Porto was created in 2015 as a result of a partnership between the Polytechnic of Porto, Porto City Hall and the Ministry of Education. The intervention began at three Groups of Schools from the Municipality of Porto.
Since 2018, CiiL Porto’s intervention has extended to all the Groups of Schools that include pre-school and primary school (16 Groups) within the Municipality of Porto, in a total of 28 schools. Such intervention was enabled by a co-funded application - Integrated and Innovative Plan to Combat School Failure (PIICIE) included in the Operational Programme NORTE 2020.
CiiL Baixo Alentejo began in early 2020 and is a result of Projeto +Sucesso Educativo no Baixo Alentejo9 , carried out by the PIICIE of Baixo Alentejo and funded by the Operational Programme Alentejo 2020.
